Born in Monzón (Huesca), she passed her first singing examinations in her home town and won the Extraordinary Final Degree Award at the Salamanca Conservatoire, where she was taught by Maria Angeles Triana and Javier San Miguel. She took a postgraduate singing course with Enedina Lloris at the ESMUC and a master’s degree in Lied at the Brussels Conservatoire with Julius Drake, Mitsuko Shirai, Wolfram Rieger, Felicity Lott, Edith Wiens, Rudolf Jansen, Wolfgang Holzmair and Udo Reinemann. She broadened her studies with various singing and style courses with Manuela Soto, Carlos Chausson, David Menéndez, Pedro Lavirgen, David Mason, Carlos Mena, Richard Levitt, Assumpta Mateu, Francisco Poyato, Carmen Bustamante, Eduardo López Banzo and Teresa Berganza.
In 2007, she won first prize in the “Montserrat Caballé – Bernabé Martí Bursaries”. In 2009, and again in 2010, she received a bursary for further studies abroad from Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain. In June 2012, she was a semi-finalist in the prestigious Operalia competition, organised by Plácido Domingo and held that year in Beijing (China).
She has performed under the conductors like Federico Maria Sardelli, Carlos Mena, Mónica Huggett, Juan Carlos Rivera, Albert Recasens, Luis Antonio González, Eduardo López Banzo, Alejandro Posada, Miquel Ortega, Gennadi Rozhdestvensky, Jaime Martin, Paul Goodwin, Lionel Bringuier, Guillermo García Calvo and Sir Neville Marriner.
She has performed Mozart’s Requiem; Handel’s Dixit Dominus; Herminie by Arriaga; Haydn’s Missa St. Nicolai; El Jardín Secreto by Abril; Handel’s Aminta e Fillide; Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater; Mahler’s Fourth Symphony; A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Felix Mendelssohn, as well as many piano and plucked string instrument recitals in Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Russia and America.
She has played a variety of roles in different operas: Belinda in Dido & Aeneas and The Fairy Queen by Purcell at the Maestranza Theatre, Seville and at the Mozart Festival in A Coruña; Morgana in Handel’s Alcina; Florilla in Hasta lo insensible adora by Literes; Norina in Don Pasquale by Donizetti; Ángel in Compendio Sucinto de la Revolución Española by Garay; Amina in La Sonnambula by Bellini; Susanna in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro; Corinna in Il Viaggio a Reims at the Real Theatre in Madrid; Frasquita in Carmen with the Castile and León Symphony Orchestra; Pamina in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte on her debut at the Opera House in Oviedo, and Woglinde in Wagner’s Das Rheingold.
She has made recordings for Radio Nacional de España, Radio Clásica, Radio Catalunya Música, Radio Clásica Portuguesa and the BBC. Her recorded releases include Responsorios de Tinieblas by Tomás Luis de Victoria, with Música Ficta and Raúl Mallavibarrena; Labordeta Clásico with the Maestrazgo Orchestra, Javier Ares and Miguel Ortega; Amor aumenta el valor by José de Nebra, with Los Músicos de su Alteza and Luis Antonio González, and Canto del Alma, works by Cristóbal Galán and Missa Scala Aretina by Valls, with La Grande Chapelle and Albert Recasens.
